luca mosca

Born in Italy,  Luca Mosca was raised and educated in the dynamic fashion capital of Milan. First, at the insistence of his family, Luca studied pharmacology at the State University of Milan. After successfully completing his medical education, he then pursued his dream: fashion.
Luca worked for years as a designer at Zamasport spa, Italy’s most renowned couture production company, which created collections for Helmut Lang, Gucci, Romeo Gigli, Norma Kamali, Katharine Hamnett, Costume National. After traveling extensively to the U.S. for business, Luca decided New York was the place for him. In 1994 Luca Mosca and then business partner Marco Cattoretti moved to New York City, where after designing for famous American fashion names, they founded and designed their own fashion collection “LUCA+MARCO”, a label very much in demand in the high end boutiques of Europe, Asia and America. In the mid 90’s Luca and Marco decided to bring their experience and career to the next level and designed a small feature film which started a successful costume design career.
Currently Luca Mosca is mostly designing for film and TV and occasionally for fashion companies. Luca’s very fortunate career would have never been possible without the help of the many people who trusted him and gave him opportunities, first and foremost  his former business partner Marco Cattoretti, a positive, visionary and inspiring driving force.
On top of the enthusiasm for his work, Luca is very proud to offer his clients inspired costume interpretations based upon his high taste level, his knowledge of the garment and costume construction, his capacity to adjust to the most different and demanding projects and work environments and his balanced combination of strong listening, leadership and team work skills.
